As a PADI Divemaster ( or equivalent level with another diving organisation) and you're looking towards the next step to gain real teaching knowledge, then the Assistant Instructor is the PADI course for you.
This is the first step to becoming PADI Instructor; as an Assistant Instructor you not only gain additional experience as a professional scuba diver, but you can act as an instructional assistant and also conduct limited PADI programs and courses independently.
The Assistant Instructor course is the first part of the Instructor Development Course (IDC) and is a great way to build experience if you are not ready to take the full IDC to become a PADI Open water Scuba Instructor.
Online academic sections can be completed before the start of the course and available in most languages. The Assistant Instructor course is a great way of splitting the cost of the full IDC into two sections allowing you more flexibility and time to gain more experience.
